Lunch Breaks & Carrot Cakes

Today was the equivalent of a Saharan heatwave for us Glaswegians. The first sign of proper sun rays that actually stay out for longer than twenty minutes is an absolute feat in this city and like a true Scottish individual when there's any sign of sun, I shoved on my sunnies and left the coat at home. I didn't go quite as far as some people I saw in short-shorts, flip flops and sun hats however, slathering each other in sun tan lotion. To be fair, I'm surprised I didn't burn to a crisp as soon as sunlight touched my face, it's been that long since I've felt or seen it. Even the cats were out basking. Hello cat.

Anyway, as it was so nice today we ventured out of the vending machine fest that is the library cafe and went for a nice lunch to Naked Soup and sat outside to soak up some rays. The best place for a cheap, healthy breakfast or lunch in the West End, you can never go wrong with a Naked Soup badboy. Their carrot cake is also so yummy I think cherubs must have made it (note empty plate, crumbs and slobbery fork.) I was feeling like wearing a very comfy set of clothes today as I was just library bound as usual (see previous post: pyjamas in library) so  there isn't much to it - just a baggy vintage shirt, the necklace I currently like to wear with everything and some shiny leggings. But I just wanted to get the old camera out and get some snaps while everything looked summery and bright as tomorrow, let's face it, it'll probably be snowing again!
