Estee Lauder Double Wear Maximum Coverage Camouflage

This is something that I don't think I could actually live without so I thought I'd do a little blog post on it this evening while I'm having a break from exam revision. I've worn Estee Lauder foundations since I was in sixth year of high school as my 17 year old self was pretty spotty (and horribly moody) and I needed something that was actually going to hide them. I'd always used the Double Wear Light, but about a year ago I thought I'd give the camouflage a go just as my chin has pretty bad scarring from all the spots. *Sob.

It's safe to say I've never looked back since in regards to what foundation I use. As you can see above it brightens and illuminates my skin, and completely hides any blemishes or freckles. It's supposed to be able to hide tattoos as well apparantly, so there's a little alternative to laser therapy for you! It is really quite thick so you don't need to apply much. A little goes a very long way and I've had my bottle for genuinely about 9 months and it's only starting to run out. Considering I wear it most days I think this is a pretty good feat. With some thicker foundations there is the risk of break outs, and while I strangely found that with the Double Wear Light, which is technically a lighter consistency, that's never been an issue with the Camouflage.

It costs £25 for one bottle but considering it lasts months and months and months and has the above results, (look at the before and after skin mug shots!) I'd say it's absolutely amazing value for money. Go and buy it if you haven't already and if you're feeling like treating yourself.

my teenage self would have loved this foundation!it looks great on you :) I love how expensive foundations last much longer!my clinique one lasts 8+ months so it feels much more justifiable spending a lot on them :)

  12. My Illasmaque Skin base is nearly dead after a good 7 months, and have heard great things about Double Wear. May have to try it out :) I always think that when going for a heavier coverage it's better to spend that bit more to avoid looking cakey..

Great post & your Blog is so nice too. I would love it if you would check my Blog out as I'm new to this whole blog thing :)

    Love Em x
